OUR STORY
9+ Years of Turning Researchers into Confident Analysts.
Fruitful Vine International started with a simple observation: brilliant health research was stalling not at the data-collection stage, but at analysis. We built a training programme to close that gap, and we’ve run it every year since.
Why we exist:
Statistics shouldn't be the reason good research goes unpublished.
We kept meeting the same researcher: someone with a genuinely important question, a carefully collected dataset, but no confident way to get from raw numbers to a defensible result. Journals were rejecting sound science over statistical method. Postgraduate students were stuck at their data-analysis chapter for months.
So we built the training we wished existed and made it taught by people who run these analyses in their own works, not career trainers reading from a slide deck. Nine years and more than 2,000 researchers later, that’s still the whole premise: practical skills, real data, real impact.
Today the programme runs twice a year in two tracks – The Basic & Intermediate, and Advanced. Both available in person in Lagos State, Nigeria or Live online, so location is never the barrier to getting properly trained.
01
Hands-on, not theoretical.
Every session works with real datasets. You leave having run the analysis yourself, not watched someone else run it.
02
Taught by active researchers
Facilitators are practicing epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and data scientists, using these exact methods in their own current work.
03
Structured for where you are
Two clear tracks mean you’re never sitting through material that’s too basic or thrown into content you’re not ready for.
04
Support doesn’t end at the last session
A closed WhatsApp group keeps Q&A open after training, so you’re not on your own the first time you apply what you learned.

Nine Years, briefly…
How the programme has grown
Year 1
First cohort of hands-on statistical training launches for health researchers in Lagos, built around a single foundational curriculum.
Early growth
Demand from postgraduate students and public health professionals pushes the programme to run multiple cohorts per year.
Advanced Track Introduced
A dedicated Advanced track is added for past participants ready for logistic and survival analysis, ROC curves, and mixed models.
Online Option Added
Live Zoom delivery removes location as a barrier, opening the training to researchers beyond Lagos.
AI & Machine Learning Integrated
Curriculum expands to include machine learning principles and Artificial Intelligence in Data Analytics across both tracks.
Today
2,000+ researchers trained, with the October 2026 cohort open for registration in both tracks.

The facilitators behind the training
Every session is led by someone who uses these methods in their own research or
data science work and not a generalist trainer.
